Registration for the 2020 Islandsbanki Reykjavik Marathon, that will be held for the 37th time on August 22nd is now open here on marathon.is. The race consists of five different distances so people of all age groups and fitness levels should be able to find a suitable distance.

Marathon (42,2 km)
Half marathon (21,1 km)
10 km race
3 km Fun Run

Registration for the 600 m Fun Run starts closer to the race.

Please note that because of environmental considerations, t-shirts are not included in the entry fee. It will be possible to buy a finisher t-shirt at the EXPO but the quantity is limited. 

Those who want to run for an Icelandic charity organization can collect donation at the web hlaupastyrkur.is. You can register as a charity runner here if you are already signed up for the race. You can also choose to donate 2000 ISK, 4000 ISK, 8000 ISK or 12000 ISK to the Islandsbanki Reykjavik Marathon charity collection in the registration process. All donations will be divided proportionately between all the participating charity organizations.

The Islandsbanki Reykjavik Marathon is organized by Reykjavik Sports Union, a union of sports clubs in Reykjavik. Other events organized by the Reykjavik Sports Union are: Laugavegur Ultra Marathon in July, Suzuki Midnight Sun Run in June, Reykjavik International Games in January and the Northern Lights Run in February.
