Tinna Ósk Grímarsdóttir was an amazing person. She filled her surroundings with warmth, joy and love. She was extremely hardworking, had big dreams and ambitions but everything got turned upside down when Tinna was diagnosed with colon cancer in August 2021. Her treatment was really difficult and there were so many setbacks. But she always stood back up, more determined and fought back with her joy and optimism. It was incredible to watch her and impossible not to be amazed by her strength. She had always been so giving and helpful to others but her sickness just made her more powerful!

When Tinna got sick, a group of people decided to get together and show her support and just how loved and admired she was. TeamTinna was formed and it just grew and grew. Together (lead by Tinna) we organized fun events like bingo and sing-a-along-night and last year we participated in Reykjavíkurmaraþon where we were pink and fabulous like like our Tinna.

Tinna sadly passed away in February 2023 and there was no doubt that we wanted to keep TeamTinna going and honor Tinna's memory by spreading joy and love and supporting charities at the same time that Tinna would have chosen.

TeamTinna is participating in Reykjavíkurmaraþon for the third time this year, pinker than ever, with the biggest smiles, exuding joy and covered in glitter!
