I'll be running (and probably walking, let's be honest) the half marathon in memory of my dear Gran who sadly passed away in January after living with dementia for over a decade. 

Kathleen, my dear Gran, was always there for me growing up, for all the big and little things: first day at school, dance shows, and cosy nights in watching the soaps with the best tea and toast I've ever tasted. Although I can't make up for a lifetime of her showing up for me, I'd love to be able to do this little something in her memory. 

Gran was always proud of me and rooting for me in everything I did, so I'd like to think she will be cheering me on as I run, walk, or crawl my way to the finish line.
