Do you have the right ticket?

23. July 2025

It is important that participants in the 2025 Íslandsbanki Reykjavík Marathon have the correct registration when it comes to starting times and results.

Those who are registered with a competition ticket take part in the competition within their distance and age category.

Those who do not wish to compete can purchase a general entry.

The start time for competition entries is earlier than for those with general entries, and these groups are not allowed to start at the same time. If they do, their participation is considered invalid, and it is not possible to receive an official time.

What is included in the general entry:

  • Participation in the 2025 Reykjavík Marathon
  • Measured course according to international measurement standards
  • Bib number
  • Timing chip
  • On-course services and drinks / at the finish line
  • Medal after the race
  • Access to swimming pools in Reykjavík after the race (must show bib number)

The competition entry includes everything in the general entry, plus the following:

  • Application for FRÍ (Icelandic Athletics Federation) certification
  • Registration in FRÍ’s official results list
  • Prizes for the top three finishers in each distance and the first finisher in each age category
  • Course measured according to AIMS measurement standards

How do I know whether I’m registered with a general or competition entry?

On your "My pages" at Corsa, you can view all details about your entry. Next to your chosen distance, it will state whether your registration is general or competition.

You can monitor your registration here.

If I want to change my ticket, how do I do that?

That is also done on "My Pages" on Corsa. You click on "My Information" and go to the bottom to "Change Ticket." Please note that you will need to pay the difference for a more expensive ticket.

See you on the 23rd of August!
