Læti! / Girls Rock! is a volunteer operated organisation with a feminist ideology. Our purpose is to empower marginalized genders through music and equality work. We promote equality and inclusion in music and educate both participants and others about equality matters in that field. We use empowering teaching methods where participants learn to play instruments, play together in a band, meet successful musicians, learn about various aspects of music and the fight for equality and perform at a final concert for friends and family.

This year's donations go to our dear friend Mirlinda and our sister organisation Girls Rock Togo. The empowerment of women is one of the main goals of the rock camp in Togo. There, the girls learn to play musical instruments, sing and dance and they will be getting a safe space to express their opinions on the issues that are important to them. Women's rights of various kinds are an important topic. The project enables young Togolese girls to have a space for musical creation, a space usually reserved for boys, and to create a positive, supportive and encouraging atmosphere where they can express themselves freely. In the camp, Togolese girls get to make their voices heard, to dare to take risks and fail, and to put themselves in new and exciting situations.
