You can choose from the following distances to run depending on your experience and age:
- 42,2K marathon - For those who turn 18 years old on race year or older
- 21,1K half marathon - For those who turn 15 years old on race year or older
- 10K timed race - For those who turn 12 years old on race year or older
- Fun Run - All age groups
Entry fee
Entry fees are in Icelandic Krona (ISK). Fees will be updated for next year's event.

General ticket
The general ticket gives participants the option to run in the race without any competition or prize. Everyone will get a bib number with a chip, time and a medal at the end of the race.
Competition ticket
The competition ticket gives participants option to compete for a prize and a prize in age groups. In the competition ticket you will get to start a little before so there will be no trampling Everyone will get a bib number with a chip, time and a medal at the end of the race.

Reykjavik Marathon registration fees cannot be refunded or deferred to other events or years.
Children's and teenagers' fee
Children's and teenagers' fee in the fun run, 10K and half marathon is meant for children and teenagers 17 years old and younger.
Included in the entry fee
The following is included in the registration fee:
- Bib number that has the chip for timing in it
- Medal for the finishers
- Gatorade drinks
- All services during the race
- One free admittance to the geothermal baths and pools in Reykjavik on race day or the day after.
T-shirts for sale
Because of environmental considerations, t-shirts are not included in the entry fee. It will be possible to buy a finisher t-shirt at the EXPO where the rule is first come, first get.
Payment
Online registration requires credit card payment. VISA and MasterCard credit cards are accepted. Note that you will receive a receipt when registration is finished if you receive no receipt the payment and registration has not gone through.
Terms
When registering for a race organised by the Reykjavik Sports Union, all participants must check a box to confirm their acceptance of the general terms and conditions of the race. Reykjavik Marathon entry fees cannot be refunded or deferred to next year but.
Receipt
Please bring your receipt or QR code and an ID with you when you pick up your race package at the EXPO on the day before the race, it will speed up the reception. You will receive the receipt by e-mail when you have finished your registration. It is also possible to find the receipt on "my page".

My page is the runner's page where it is possible to view your registration, change personal information, and change distance. Further information can be found here.
Change your distance
You can change your distance online at “my page" until 18:00 before the race when online registration ends or before you pick up your registration packet. It is also possible to change the distance at the EXPO in Laugardalshöll. No change fee is collected but if the entry fee for the new distance is higher you will have to pay the difference. The distance cannot be changed after the race has started.

In the registration system, you can register a few runners at a time. Companies that want to register 10 or more participants can contact us for more information.
